SWEetie of the Week:
- Weekly recognition of active and uplifting members.
- Recipients receive a small stuffed animal and a handwritten pun-filled note.
- Selected based on contributions, positivity, or supportiveness—can be nominated by peers or exec.
GTSWE Scholarships:
- Awarded each spring semester (March) to select dedicated members.
- Scholarships vary year to year.
- Funds are applied directly to the bursar account for the upcoming fall semester.
Open to members who have demonstrated strong commitment, leadership, and impact.
Annual GTSWE Awards:
These are presented during the end-of-year Awards Banquet.
Include a short but polished description of each award:
- Georgette P. Burdell Award
Given to the SWE member who has contributed the most to the organisation as a whole. - Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award
Presented to a member who has demonstrated engineering excellence both within SWE and beyond—through research, internships, projects, or innovation. - GEAR Award
Awarded to a non-exec member whose behind-the-scenes efforts have been essential to GTSWE’s success.
Rising Star Award
Honours a first-year SWE member who has demonstrated exceptional initiative, consistent engagement, and early leadership within the organisation.
