What is the SWE Conference Collective?

This page is a centralized platform to help SWEeties prepare and reflect on local and national SWE conferences! Every year SWE sponsors sponsors ~25 members for each conference (Nationals and Locals). See the information below for Application Info and Timelines!

• Sponsorship includes:
  
  • Partial registration reimbursement
    
  • Full lodging (shared hotel rooms)
    
  • Full transportation (flights, ground)
    
• Sponsorship does not cover food or personal expenses unless stated otherwise.
  

What We Sponsor:

Conference Breakdown:

• National Conference (WE) – held every fall (e.g. WE25 in October)
  
• Local Conference (WE Local) – held in the spring (e.g. Cherry Hill in March)
  

Application & Selection Process:

• Applicants must be paid National SWE members to be eligible.
  
• We evaluate based on:
  
  • SWE involvement (past contributions and future plans)
    
  • Genuine interest and excitement for conference participation
    
  • Thoughtful responses showing alignment with SWE’s mission
    

Application Timeline:

• National Conference (e.g. WE25):
  
  • Applications open: Early May
    
  • Close: Late May to early June
    
• Local Conference (e.g. WE Local Cherry Hill):
  
  • Applications open: October
